Job summary

Deacon Construction, LLC seeks a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on national retail projects across Washington and the Pacific Northwest, with Seattle, WA as home base. You’ll manage subcontractors, enforce safety, and coordinate with the Project Manager to keep schedules and budgets on track.

The role requires 5+ years of superintendent experience in retail/construction, ability to travel extensively, and comfort working in active, occupied stores.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of superintendent experience on commercial/retail projects.
• Ability to manage work in active/occupied retail environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout WA and the Pacific Northwest.
• Experience coordinating with store operations and client teams.
• Procore or similar PM tools advantageous; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on retail construction and remodel projects.
• Manage subcontractors, enforce schedules, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate in active, occupied stores to minimize disruption.
• Partner with Project Manager on scheduling, look-ahead planning, and cost control.
• Conduct daily walks, logs, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
