Job summary

Deacon Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Retail Programs team from Seattle, WA. You will oversee multiple active retail projects, ensuring budgets, schedules, and client expectations are met across Washington and the Pacific Northwest.

You will partner with field supervision, manage design and permitting workflows, and maintain proactive client communication, even in occupied stores. Travel to sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience on commercial construction projects, with retail construction experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, including work in active or occupied retail environments.
• Strong budgets/scheduling/contracts/financial health awareness.
• Excellent communicator and relationship builder with clients, stores, and trade partners.
• Willing to travel throughout Washington and Pacific Northwest; home base Seattle.
• Experience with Procore or similar PM tools is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own full project lifecycle for retail construction and remodel projects in WA, across the Pacific Northwest.
• Manage 3–5 concurrent projects with prioritized pipeline.
• Develop and manage budgets, track costs, process change orders and subcontracts.
• Develop schedules with the Superintendent and coordinate sequencing in occupied stores.
• Serve as primary client contact for construction teams and store operations.
• Travel to job sites to walk projects and support milestones.
• Oversee project closeout and client handoff with minimal store disruption.
