Job summary

Mainstay Life Services in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Master’s Level Behavioral Specialist to provide behavioral support for individuals with disabilities. You will identify behavioral goals using functional assessments and recommend change methods, with experience in developing individualized support plans and addressing medical, health, safety and psychosocial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, ABA or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 3 years direct experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Licensure/certification in behavior health fields preferred (LPC/LBS/BCBA/LSW).

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments to design appropriate behavior support plans.
• Design data collection methods and evaluate behavioral data.
• Collaborate with individuals, families and service teams on plans.
• Develop and maintain person-centered behavior support plans based on trauma-informed principles.
• Develop crisis intervention and fade plans for restrictive interventions.
• Provide training and support for implementation of behavior plans.
