Lifesteps, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a full-time Behavioral Specialist to support adults with intellectual disabilities in Lifesteps community homes. You will conduct functional assessments, train staff and caregivers, and develop behavior support plans to guide care teams.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in a human services field, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel/Outlook. Travel across Allegheny and Washington Counties is expected; standard daytime hours

Behavioral Specialist / Social Worker

Full-time Regular Pittsburgh, PA, US

Salary Range: $21.50 To $27.50 Hourly

Lifesteps, a Western PA non-profit agency, is currently seeking a Full-time Behavior Specialist to work with individuals and participants who are assigned to Lifesteps community homes program. This new, full‑time position is based at our office in Eighty Four, PA or in Castle Shannon, PA (Pittsburgh). The role will travel throughout Allegheny and Washington Counties to provide services to adults with intellectual disabilities.

Job Duties:

• The Behavioral Specialist performs afunctional assessment and develops strategies to support a participantaccordingly.
• Provides on-site trainingto participants, staff, parents and caregivers and monitors participantsuccess.
• Develops effective behaviorsupport plans to be utilized by the care team and evaluates participantprogress.

The work hours are daytime, Monday through Friday 8:0am - 4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Master’s Degree in Human Services or a closely related field (Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Therapy, Education, Child and Family Development, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Preferred:

• Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis and experience working with adults with an intellectual disability
• ABA Certification
• PA Behavior Specialist Licensure
