UC San Diego is seeking a Physician Assistant to support trauma, general surgery, and burn services. You will provide full clinical support for inpatients, assist in resuscitation, and manage consultations while educating students and staff.

The role requires a CA PA license, NCCPA certification, ARC-PA accredited PA program completion, and BLS/ACLS with ART anticipated within six months. Prior trauma experience is highly preferred.

Formación

• Graduate from ARC-PA approved PA program.
• California PA license required.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• BLS/ACLS at hire with plan to obtain ART within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year of surgical patient experience.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical therapeutics.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive clinical support for inpatients, trauma resuscitation, and consultations.
• Plan, implement and evaluate treatments for critically ill patients.
• Educate patients and students (medical students, interns, residents, fellows).
• Participate in quality assurance programs.
• Maintain clear, accurate medical records and write orders for inpatient/outpatient plans.
