Job summary

Responsibilities include operating routes, supervising students, and conducting drills and inspections. Requires AZ CDL with P and AB endorsements, valid clearance, First Aid/ CPR, and DOT health card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background clearance required.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Arizona commercial driver's license with passenger and air brake endorsements required.
• At least one year of school bus operation experience.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent driving record with annual documentation.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Annual DOT health card and drug screen.
• Arizona School Bus Driver Certificate maintained.
• Must pass bus agility tests and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Computer and office equipment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Drives school bus on scheduled route transporting students.
• Transports students on field trips and events.
• Maintains order and enforces conduct on buses.
• Conducts emergency evacuation drills twice yearly.
• Administers first aid when necessary.
• Keeps bus interior/exterior clean and maintained.
• Performs minor seat repairs and graffiti removal.
• Services bus daily except by mechanics instruction.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT.
• Log mileage and student transport records.
