Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a Safety Leader to oversee transportation safety and regulatory compliance across U.S. operations. You will ensure OSHA, NFPA, IH, DOT/GHS compliance and enforce safety policies while guiding training, investigations, and continuous improvement.

The role requires 6+ years in safety, 3+ years in leadership, fluent English and Spanish, and the ability to travel domestically about 30% of the time. A valid TWIC card is preferred and CSP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of safety experience in industrial/transportation.
• 3+ years in a leadership role managing safety teams.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, IH, DOT/GHS, and ergonomics.
• Proven ability to develop and manage safety programs across multiple sites.
• Clean, valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to communicate with regulatory bodies and teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced PC skills including Excel and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the safety function across U.S. locations.
• Develop, implement, and improve safety programs and policies.
• Drive consistent safety program implementation across sites.
• Lead Safety Supervisors and teams with accountable execution.
• Oversee audits, inspections, and on-site evaluations.
• Analyze data to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and oversee safety training for staff and supervisors.
• Engage with operations to ensure safety aligns with operations.
