Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Resident Engineer (Transportation/Transit) to supervise road and infrastructure works in Seattle, WA.

You will lead on-site teams, manage interface with clients and designers, and ensure construction aligns with contract and permitting requirements. The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 10+ years in similar roles, with preference for experience on Puget Sound projects and familiarity with alternative delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related.
• 10+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or Construction Manager in engineering, environmental or construction.
• Experience with alternative delivery contracts (GCCM, DB, PDB) is preferred.
• Proven experience on large transportation projects in Puget Sound area.
• Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site oversight of the construction process to meet contract and permitting requirements.
• Lead a team of inspectors and support staff to monitor progress and safety.
• Report progress, safety, financials, quality and changes in the contract work.
• Maintain trusted relationships with project team, contractor and client staff.
• Ensure safe construction practices and high-quality outcomes on site.
