Job summary

Mace is seeking a senior Requirements Engineer for the Gateway Program in New York. You will support the development and governance of requirements across design, construction, and testing teams to meet FTA, FRA, and USDOT standards.

Strong experience in traceability and verification is essential, with familiarity using DOORS, Relatics, and related tools. You will work in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

10+ years experience in requirements engineering, technical assurance, or systems engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related technical field.
Deep knowledge of FTA, FRA, USDOT requirements and standards.
Experience using requirements tools such as DOORS, Power Pro, or equivalent.
Proven ability in requirements development, traceability, validation and verification.

Responsibilities

Support development and implementation of Requirements Management Plan per regulatory requirements.
Consolidate HTP master design criteria and ensure traceability across components.
Perform technical assurance activities: identification, validation, traceability, verification of requirements.
Collaborate with design, systems, construction, and testing teams to ensure compliance.
Develop RVTM/VCRM matrices for design packages and deliverables.
Ensure requirements are SMART and verifiable across project phases.
Manage lifecycle traceability using RelaticsGenesys, Relatics, DOORS, or similar tools.
Participate in design reviews and handle changes and deviations.
