Job summary

R.M. Chin & Associates seeks a dedicated Project Manager-Design to join our design group in Chicago, working on public transportation, IDOT, and Tollway projects. You will lead project teams, mentor staff, manage budgets, and contribute to proposals while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 7–10+ years in roadway design, and strong communication skills. This onsite role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits in the Chicagoland area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• 7–10+ years of civil/transportation/roadway design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Bentley MicroStation, GeoPak, PowerCivil, InRoads, and OpenRoads Designer proficiency.
• Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with IDOT ISTHA CDOT roadway design.
• Experience with permitting and utility coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project teams on roadway/infrastructure projects.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Contribute to business development through networking and proposals.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on large transportation projects.
• Perform engineering design tasks and prepare plans, specs, and reports.
