Job summary

R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Resident Engineer to lead roadway improvement projects and manage transportation engineering objectives.

The position requires a PE license and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with about 15 years of experience in transportation construction management. The role is fully onsite with a competitive salary of $145k–$180k plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 15 years of Transportation Construction management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Knowledge of IDOT Standard Specifications and construction admin.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction oversight to ensure design, budget, and schedule Compliance.
• Represent the company at meetings, presentations, and hearings.
• Provide leadership to a CM team ensuring spec adherence.
• Process pay estimates and inspector IDRs and contractor activities.
• Maintain field records: daily reports, test, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate final deliverables, inspections, warranties, and invoicing.
• Interpret, organize, and coordinate construction engineering tasks.
• Specialist in advanced concepts for assigned area of responsibility.
• Analyze complex problems and consult with design engineers.
• Participate in marketing and proposal development.
• Prepare scope of work and costing documents for proposals.
• Coordinate with senior staff and stakeholders for project execution.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
