Bodwe Professional Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager in Illinois to lead high-profile highway design projects for IDOT, Tollway, and local agencies. The role requires strong Civil Engineering skills, PE licensure in Illinois, and proficiency with MicroStation and ORD. Travel and client coordination are expected.

The position emphasizes project leadership, technical excellence, and mentorship of junior staff in a collaborative office near St. Charles, IL.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois required.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressively responsible transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with roadway design, ADA design, drainage, and traffic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage roadway and highway design tasks for projects of moderate to large complexity under senior guidance.
• Oversee junior engineers and coordinate daily task delivery.
• Lead development of preliminary designs, project reports, and technical specifications.
• Act as primary client contact; assist in scoping services and fee proposals.
• Ensure design QA/QC and prepare cost estimates and EOPC.
• Coordinate plan submissions with regulatory agencies and bridge elements with structural teams.
