Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is seeking a Civil Engineer – Roadway Project Manager in Illinois with IL DOT experience. You will lead transportation projects, manage scopes and budgets, and coordinate with staff, clients and officials.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a PE license, and 5–15+ years of experience. ORDs, MicroStation proficiency, and a team-focused, communicative mindset are essential. Travel up to 10% and a supportive ESOP culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a four-year college or university.
• Registered PE is required.
• 5–15+ years of experience in transportation/roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation projects: scope, budgets, design coordination.
• Sign/seal work as required.
• Be main point of contact with clients, contractors, and officials.
• Design and plan production for roadways and intersections.
• Provide horizontal/vertical alignments, drainage, and pedestrian design elements.
• Collaborate with Service Leaders and Project Engineers to solve problems.
• Contribute to a variety of project types; maintain safety/QA/QC standards.
• Support CDI culture and client satisfaction throughout projects.
