Job summary

Town of Carlisle is seeking a Transportation and Services Coordinator to manage COAHS transportation and nutrition programs, support residents with disabilities, and connect them with community resources. The role includes coordinating meals, medical equipment, and HIPAA-compliant resident data.

The position requires strong customer service, independent judgment, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Office-based with occasional community travel; remote work is not offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in transportation coordination, human services, municipal services, aging services, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Council on Aging, human services, volunteer coordination, transportation programs, or community-based services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages COAHS transportation programs for medical appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Schedules vans, drivers, and volunteers; develops daily routes and substitutes.
• Drives as a back-up when needed and coordinates volunteer transportation.
• Coordinates hiring, onboarding, supervision, and performance reviews for COAHS drivers.
• Maintains relationships with drivers, trains Friendly Drivers, and resolves scheduling issues.
