Job summary

VDOT, the Virginia Department of Transportation, is seeking a skilled analyst to provide analysis and support to the district's programs by planning, developing, monitoring and evaluating projects and policies, and to coordinate SYIP development with finance and scheduling.

You will work with district staff, CO Federal Programs Division, and iPM-based systems to ensure accurate project data, funding transfers, and timely delivery of construction and maintenance projects across the district.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, local transportation laws, regulations, policies and operations.
• Advanced understanding of the interrelationships between project data, including phases, schedules, and estimates, and the SYIP, SSYPs, STIP and TIPs, and federal strategy.
• Considerable experience monitoring, analyzing and reconciling programming and financial data.
• Experience with transportation funding to include budgeting and finance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, monitor and evaluate projects and policies.
• Review and coordinate SYIP development and funding.
• Monitor project schedules, estimates and data accuracy in programming systems.
• Coordinate with local government and the Federal Programs Division on funding transfers and authorizations.
• Maintain and ensure data integrity across multiple systems (iPM, Dashboard, etc.).
