St. Louis County is seeking a Project Manager IV - Planning & Programming Engineer to perform advanced professional engineering work, including supervising staff in complex assignments.

The typical starting salary range is $76,252 - $91,499 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package and PTO. The role focuses on asset management, planning, and coordinating with consultants and internal teams to support transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect by the Missouri Board of Engineers, Architects and Land Surveyors.
• Five years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Long-Range Planning group (staff of three).
• Manage consultant-led and in-house studies shaping the County’s transportation network.
• Assist Short-Range Planning in creating improvement programs within budget.
• Represent the County in public settings and collaborate with peer agencies.
• Develop and coach direct reports through communication, delegation, QA, recognition, and discipline.

Education

Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration or Architect designation (Missouri Board)
