Job summary

St. Louis County Department of Transportation and Public Works is seeking a dedicated Engineer to join the Bridge Engineering and Inspection team in Clayton, MO.

The Engineer will manage Federal and County funded bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, complete in-house design plans and calculations, and perform bridge inspections as a licensed professional engineer for the Department. The starting salary range is $70,720 to $106,080 annually, based on experience.

Qualifications

• PE license from Missouri with 5 years of practical experience.
• Ability to manage Federal and County funded bridge projects.
• Capable of sealing design plans and calculations per AASHTO/MoDOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge/structural replacement projects from concept through bidding.
• Seal design plans and calculations per standards.
• Inspect county bridges and culverts annually.
• Review engineering calculations and designs.
• Coordinate with staff and stakeholders.
