Job summary

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking an entry- to senior-level St. Louis District STIP Programmer in Chesterfield, MO to support statewide transportation program planning and project prioritization.

You’ll work with the Asset Management Coordinator on STIP-related planning and data-driven decision making. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis, developing recommendations, maintaining databases, coordinating with local agencies, and overseeing federal funds

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economic Development, Engineering, Planning, Public Administration or related field, OR
  • Four years of experience in transportation planning or engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Studies objectives and methods of data collection, analysis, and reduction for assigned projects.
  • Conducts research to gather information and prepares analyses of collected data.
  • Develops recommendations and maintains programs, databases, and historical files.
  • Liaises between the department and local agencies/regional planning organizations; assists in meeting transportation goals.
  • Administers federal funds for projects, reviews requirements, and monitors funding levels.

Job Location: St. Louis District Office - Local Programs - 1590 Woodlake Drive, Chesterfield, MO 63017

This position will serve as the St. Louis District's Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) Programmer. Primary duties include closely working with the Asset Management Coordinator on planning efforts and prioritization of all Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) projects related to taking care of the system.

What You’ll Do

  • Administers federal funds for various projects, including reviewing program requirements, documents and data, calculating and monitoring funding levels, and obligating funds.
Minimum Qualifications
All you need for success:
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Business Administration, Economic Development, Engineering, Planning, Public Administration, or related field, OR
  • Four years of experience in transportation planning or engineering.
Special Working Conditions
  • Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
