Job summary

InnovAge is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead transportation staff and oversee safety and vehicle maintenance at our CA operations. This role requires on-site attendance at InnovAge facilities or participant homes as needed to perform duties and ensure smooth daily operations.

The position blends administrative oversight, supervision, and hands-on driver duties, with responsibilities in scheduling, training, and incident reporting, and participation in the Center Leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Requires state issued Class C driver's license and to be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong management skills with 4+ years supervising staff in transportation.

Responsibilities

• Inform Fleet Management regarding resource availability and vehicle status.
• Schedule bus drop-offs and pickups at maintenance facilities.
• Provide relief coverage for Drivers as needed.
• Plan, schedule and assign Driver duties including medication and supply distribution.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance in a timely manner.
• Ensure driver training on new equipment and routes.
• Coordinate scheduling of participant rides with the dispatcher.
• Investigate accidents and document findings and notifications.
• Attend leadership and care planning meetings; represent Transportation department.
• On call for after hours as assigned.
