Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years related logistics and supply chain experience required
• At least 3 years managerial or supervisory experience required
• High School degree or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. Degree will be required for advancement to most positions.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint required
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Guide supervisors to align work with customer objectives; interview and hire up to supervisor level; develop staff.
• Interact daily with the customer to capture needs and identify opportunities for route optimization and warehouse ops.
• Develop and manage annual financial and operating plan; ensure P&L targets and accurate billing.
• Promote safety by monitoring incidents and enforcing procedures; identify unsafe conditions.
• Track value delivered to the customer and seek profitable opportunities; monitor metrics.
• Improve fleet utilization and coordinate with PTL district and vendors.
