Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in transportation, specifically carrier management/procurement or similar environment within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of North American transportation practices, procedures and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience in traffic operations, dispatching, and with TMS systems.
• Positive attitude and show initiative.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily transportation operations and provide direction to Logistics Coordinators to ensure cost-effective, on-time deliveries and compliance with customer requirements.
• Review carrier bids, approve carrier selection decisions, and support rate negotiations to optimize transportation costs and service levels.
• Lead resolution of transportation issues including shipment delays, carrier service failures, loading challenges, and customer escalations.
• Manage logistics-related customer complaints from investigation through closure, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and trend reporting.
• Oversee Transportation Management System (TMS) processes, recommend system improvements, and ensure transportation data accuracy.
