Job summary

Blommer Chocolate Company seeks a seasoned Commodity Risk Manager to assess risk across sugar, dairy, fats/oils, currency, energy, and other inputs. You will lead supplier negotiations, develop hedging strategies, and advise Sales to maximize profitability while reducing customer risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in supply chain/procurement with strong analytical skills and understanding of market dynamics, futures and markets

Responsibilities

• Assess commodity cost risk and devise/implement risk strategies to mitigate that risk
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to support current and future business needs
• Provide analysis to Sales and Customers to maximize profitability while aiding customers to minimize risk
• Develop long-term strategic view of supplier base and sourcing strategies
• Present complex commodity strategies to internal management and sales teams
• Travel 20% within US and Canada to work with suppliers and plants
