Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for transportation infrastructure in Seattle, WA and other locations. The role focuses on managing large, complex transit construction programs, coordinating across multiple teams, and ensuring project objectives are met from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate will bring a PE license, CCM certification as an asset, and extensive experience on mega-projects with strong leadership and risk management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• PE licensure is required.
• 15+ years on large, complex transit projects with construction value >$500M.
• 4–5 years executing technical aspects including Alternate Project Delivery (APD).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of large, complex construction projects serving as a client liaison and leading project teams.
• Mentor staff and document lessons learned.
• Support recruitment by screening candidates and collaborating with HR on offers.
• Supervise design-phase constructability and sequencing reviews.
• Manage bid phase activities: pre-bid meetings, inquiries, addenda, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
• Direct preconstruction planning and review contract documents for construction readiness.
• Oversee day-to-day construction management to ensure design, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Represent company at meetings and with stakeholders; liaison with clients and agencies.
