Job summary

KeHE Distributors is seeking a Sr. Transportation Manager in Dallas, TX to oversee inbound transportation finance, forecasting and reporting. You will secure cost-effective carrier capacity and manage reporting for the inbound network.

The role requires 7+ years in transportation/logistics with a supervisory track record, expertise in truckload/intermodal/LTL, and strong analytical and PM skills. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/logistics preferred.
• 7+ years of transportation/logistics experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in truckload, intermodal and LTL across multiple temperature classes.
• Strong analytical capabilities to summarize large data for management.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Access and TMS.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Results-oriented, self-directed with excellent time management.
• Up to 25% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze and report transportation financial metrics for inbound transportation.
• Prepare analytics to design transportation optimization solutions.
• Develop scorecards and report operational and financial metrics with the team.
• Develop strategic bid plans aligned to domestic transportation targets.
• Administer RFPs, negotiate contracts and manage carrier relationships.
• Ensure routing guide compliance and award compliance.
• Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to maintain top-tier service.
• Oversee invoicing, audits and freight claims processes.
• Address carrier performance and implement improvement plans.
• Support day-to-day transportation processes with Inbound Operations Managers.
• Maintain Transportation Management System and report on KPIs.
