Aiken Construction is seeking a Project Inspector to oversee multiple highway and bridge construction projects in South Carolina. You will ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with QA teams and recording daily logs.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 4.5 years of engineering technician experience, plus a valid driver's license. Expect 12-hour shifts, potential travel, and duties in various weather conditions.

• High school diploma; 4.5 years of progressively responsible engineering technician related experience or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to interpret plans, contract documents, and standards for state and federal projects.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends/holidays in inclement weather or emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Act as Project Inspector on multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
• Conduct sampling and field testing per SCDOT requirements and coordinate with QA teams.
• Prepare and maintain daily diaries, reports, and logs in SCDOT systems; record field changes and as-built notes.
• Investigate public complaints, coordinate with contractors, and document communications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
