City of Fort Worth is hiring a Senior Professional Engineer – Transportation to support Vision Zero initiatives. You will lead a three-member team, coordinate safety countermeasures, and engage with residents to address traffic safety concerns.

The role focuses on Safe Routes to School, ADA & Sidewalk programs, and implementing 34 policy/program improvements plus 10 infrastructure projects. A Texas PE license and civil engineering degree are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Three years of progressive civil engineering experience, with traffic safety focus preferred.
• Texas PE registration required; out-of-state license with Texas registration within six months is allowed.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership to a team of three (one engineer, two technicians).
• Develop safety countermeasures and coordinate with contractors to implement safety projects.
• Handle public service requests, coordinate field investigations and data collection.
• Manage scopes, schedules, and budgets for pedestrian infrastructure and school traffic safety projects.
• Use VueWorks to plan and maintain records of installations and work.
• Develop sidewalk contracts and serve as compliance manager.
