State of West Virginia seeks a District Traffic Engineer Manager to lead traffic operations, safety analysis, and project reviews across District 8. The role entails reviewing crash data, speed studies, and MOT plans, and coordinating with regional leadership.

The position requires a WV-registered professional engineer or comity, and a BA/BS from ABET-accredited program, plus at least seven years in civil engineering and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in WV or eligible by comity within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial, mining, environmental, or related engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Seven+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.

Responsabilités

• Investigate traffic operations and safety issues via field observations and data reviews.
• Develop speed limit, signage, and pavement marking recommendations and MOT plans.
• Coordinate with regional manager and district engineers on traffic projects.
• Supervise district staff including traffic technician/engineer assistant and Sign Shop manager.

P.E. license (WV) or comity within 6 months

ABET-accredited B.S. in civil or related engineering
