Job summary
Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority seeks a Senior Transportation Engineer for the Quality Assurance Group, within the Technical Services Department. You will lead a team conducting planning, design, procurement, construction and closeout for capital projects while ensuring CQMP compliance and audit-based quality control.
The ideal candidate brings a California PE license, 5+ years in transportation engineering, and a proven track record in QA activities and capital improvement project
Qualifications
- CA Professional Engineer license required; emphasis in transportation engineering.
- At least five years of professional engineering experience in transportation.
- Experience implementing and managing quality control and QA activities under a QA program.
- Background designing capital improvement projects related to highway, rail, transit, and/or facilities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise professional transportation engineering staff across planning, design, and operation of transportation systems.
- Lead development and auditing of Contract‑specific Quality Management Plans (CQMPs).
- Conduct audits and surveillance of CQMPs; resolve noncompliance.
- Coordinate with consultants, utilities, other agencies and the public.
