Job summary

Toole Design seeks a Senior Transportation Engineer in Oakland, CA to lead multimodal corridor studies, Vision Zero initiatives, and Safe Routes to School projects, drawing on interdisciplinary teams from planning, engineering, and design.

Based in our Oakland office, you will mentor staff, manage client relationships, develop proposals, and help win work while delivering projects on time and on budget for California communities.

Qualifications

• PE license and/or CA Transportation Engineer certification or ability to obtain within six months
• 8+ years multimodal transportation project experience
• Leadership of multi-discipline design and planning projects; strong networks in the CA transportation market is a plus
• Experience presenting projects to diverse audiences
• Ability to win work through client relationships, proposals and interview materials
• Spanish language knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead multimodal corridor studies and Vision Zero initiatives
• Mentor staff and build client relationships
• Support business development and proposals
• Deliver projects from concept through implementation in California
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, urban designers, and landscape architects
