Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• KY Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with KYTC and Kentucky municipalities desired.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• Experience managing transportation studies and infrastructure design projects.
• Ability to coordinate with design teams, internal teams, and subconsultants.
• Experience preparing specifications, cost estimates, reports and bid packages.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior engineer to ensure project delivery for KYTC and local entities.
• Coordinate with design team to develop quality deliverables within schedules/budgets.
• Maintain project schedules, resource allocation and deliverables.
• Provide QA/QC for engineering deliverables.
• Assist with specifications, cost estimates, reports, and final bid packages.
• Establish relationships with clients and project managers.
• Train, direct, supervise, and mentor staff.
• Assist with technical and cost proposals.
• Provide assistance in RFP responses and strategic planning.
• Manage transportation studies and infrastructure design projects.
• Coordinate across internal teams and subconsultants.
• Support client communication and project documentation.
• Identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities.
