Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for our Mount Laurel, NJ team to support delivery of Highway and Traffic projects. You will develop plans, layouts, drawings, and deliverables for traffic signal and pavement marking programs, and lead roadway design tasks with geometry, models, and utility coordination.

You will prepare studies, bid documents, and reports, supervise drawing production, and perform field observations as needed.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering; MS preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering experience with highway/roadway and traffic exposure.
• NJ Professional Engineer (PE) required; other state licensure recommended.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and Open Road Designer.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, drawings, and technical deliverables for traffic signal, signing, pavement marking, and related projects.
• Lead roadway design tasks including geometry, design models, cross sections, and utility coordination.
• Prepare concept studies, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Prepare construction bid documents and manage schedules, costs, and resources.
• Perform engineering calculations and field observations as needed.
