Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead roadway and freeway design projects and mentor staff. The role involves coordinating with MDOT, agencies and contractors, developing budgets and schedules, and delivering transportation solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, and 10+ years of roadway experience, with strong MicroStation/GeoPak skills and experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of roadway engineering experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation/GeoPak.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Knowledge of HEC-RAS, HY-8, and StormCAD is preferred.
• Experience with storm sewer drainage design, pavement markings, signing plans, and maintenance of traffic plans.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.

Senior Transportation Engineer

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working with our Transportation Team, you will lead roadway and freeway design projects, mentor engineering staff, collaborate with clients and agencies, and help deliver transportation solutions for MDOT.

What You'll Do
