Job summary

Erdman Anthony is seeking a Senior Engineer - Highway to lead multifaceted transportation design projects and interface with clients and public agencies. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality across project teams, serving as Engineer of Record and coordinating detailed design phases in compliance with PennDOT standards.

Candidates should have a BS or MS in civil engineering, 10–15+ years of related experience, PE license, and proven success in consulting or construction

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in civil engineering required.
• 10-15+ years of progressive technical experience, diversified knowledge preferred.
• Civil engineer with highway design and transportation engineering focus.
• PE License required.
• Prior experience in consulting engineering or construction industry.
• PennDOT experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare and submit technical proposals to PennDOT and other agencies.
• Prepare and negotiate fee proposals to PennDOT and other agencies.
• Prepare and review subconsultant agreements.
• Serve as project manager with scope, schedule, budget, and quality responsibility.
• Lead transportation projects from conception to completion, ensuring PennDOT standards compliance.
• Act as Engineer of Record and coordinate detailed design phases.
• Present to prospective clients and project stakeholders, fielding questions.
