Job description

Job Title: Senior Highway/Roads Engineer

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

1. Leading the detailed development of urban roadway design projects
2. Performing quality assurance on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systems
3. Serving as a technical expert in your area of specialization
4. Managing project duties and interacting with clients
5. Supervising work of professionals and technicians
6. Performing other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• MSCE
• Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft Office
• Experience with local agencies (VDOT, DDOT, MDSHA, MDTA, or local municipalities)
• Open Roads (ORD) experience is highly preferred
• Local candidates are preferred

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 10 years of experience in roadway engineering design
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Project management skills are desirable
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, and CAD layout
• Experience with survey, grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout is a plus
