Job summary

Egis seeks a senior electrical engineer to lead design and development of highway and bridge lighting and transportation electrical systems across the United States. You will oversee construction documents, perform photometric studies, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a PE license and 12+ years of experience in highway lighting and transportation electrical design, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Flexible hybrid work is available where feasible.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
PE license required.
12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
Experience with highway/bridge lighting and transportation electrical design.
FDOT experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of highway/bridge lighting and related electrical systems.
Review and oversee construction documents, calculations, and RFI responses.
Perform photometric studies and load calculations to codes and standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
Coordinate with roadway, traffic, and structural engineers throughout projects.
