Egis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems for transportation infrastructure, with emphasis on highway and bridge lighting and roadway electrical designs.

The role requires a PE license, 12+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to mentor staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support business development initiatives. This is a hybrid opportunity within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; PE license required.
• 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with highway lighting, bridge lighting, roadway electrical systems, and transportation electrical design.
• FDOT experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead tasks, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of electrical systems for transportation projects, focusing on highway and bridge lighting.
• Review, develop, and oversee construction documents, plans, specs, calculations, estimates, shop drawings, RFIs, and client responses.
• Perform lighting analyses, photometric studies, electrical load calculations, and power distribution designs to meet codes and standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and QA/QC for junior staff.
• Coordinate with roadway, bridge, traffic, and structural engineers throughout development and delivery.
• Support project managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.
• Assist with business development, including proposals, scope development, and technical presentations.
• Serve as a technical resource for transportation electrical engineering across the organization.
