Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents while ensuring comfort and vehicle safety on every trip. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles, maintain the vehicle, and perform pre-trip checks to uphold safety standards. The role requires a HS Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license.

CPR may be required. Strong communication and time management skills, plus the ability to stay calm in emergencies, are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; must be 21 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies and safely assist residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
