Job summary

Cypress Cove, a beautiful 60-acre Life Plan Community in Fort Myers, FL, seeks dedicated drivers to transport residents to appointments and events. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles, operate with care for wheelchairs and weather conditions, and maintain vehicle logs and cleanliness.

The role requires a CDL with passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to read maps. You’ll work with a compassionate team that values safety and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in and compassion for older adults.
• A valid driver’s license - CDL endorsement (with (P) passenger endorsement) required – and a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow maps (electronic and paper-based).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe and timely transport of Residents to appointments and other daily outings.
• Safely assisting residents in to and out of vehicles, including maneuvering wheelchairs, holding umbrellas in inclement weather and baggage handling.
• Conducting periodic checks of bus operation including fuel, oil, wipers, fluids, lights, etc.
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and logs/records pertaining to vehicle service.
