Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks a Driver to transport residents safely to appointments and activities, assisting with onboarding/offboarding and maintaining high service standards. A friendly, patient demeanor is essential to delivering excellent care to seniors while ensuring safety.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid state driver's license, and experience with mobility aids. CDL may be required by some states; prior healthcare or senior living driving experience is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license (CDL may be required).
• Passenger endorsement (if required by state regulations).
• At least three (3) years of driving experience with a clean driving history.
• Experience driving a passenger vehicle, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Experience operating large vehicles or an equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to various destinations.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle and with mobility aids as needed.
• Ensure resident safety and verification of all passengers before leaving.
• Prepare vehicle for operation and coordinate basic vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain license plates, inspection tags, and insurance cards as required.
• Follow transportation safety procedures and maintain valid driving license.
• Assist in resident programs and events as needed.
• Build positive relationships with residents and provide supportive service.
