Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Transportation Designer to join our Digital Delivery and Transportation team in the Bellevue area.

The role focuses on developing transportation design models using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation CONNECT Edition for large-scale projects, including WSDOT collaborations. The candidate will prepare construction plans and quantity calculations, design roadway improvements, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of transportation design experience; 10+ years for senior level preferred.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation CONNECT Edition and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Experience delivering transportation projects for WSDOT or other state DOTs.
  • Strong understanding of roadway geometry, corridor modeling, grading, drainage, and utility design.
  • Experience working with survey data, terrain models, and construction plan production.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidiscipline project teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Your impact

We are seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Transportation Designer to join our growing Digital Delivery and Transportation team. The successful candidate will support the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale transportation infrastructure projects for state and local agencies, including the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and other Departments of Transportation (DOTs).

This role requires strong technical expertise in MicroStation CONNECT Edition and OpenRoads Designer (ORD), along with experience developing transportation design models and construction documents for complex roadway projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain transportation design models using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation CONNECT.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • 5+ years of transportation design experience for mid-level candidates; 10+ years preferred for senior-level candidates.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation CONNECT Edition and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Experience delivering transportation projects for WSDOT or other state DOT agencies.
  • Strong understanding of roadway geometry, corridor modeling, grading, drainage, and utility design.

Preferred Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is $104,400.00 to $162,100.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
