Moore Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Group Leader to supervise the transportation production group, mentor staff, and manage project staffing, scopes, schedules, and budgets. The role collaborates with senior leaders and clients on high-profile projects and RFP/RFQ processes.

The position emphasizes leadership, coaching, and strong communication, with opportunities to influence strategy and project delivery across Minnesota sites within a 100% employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 10 years of engineering experience preferred.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles in the practice area.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor employees.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise staff in the transportation production group.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship to the group.
• Adjust staffing with Senior Transportation Group Leader and HR approval.
• Ensure adherence to company standards and QA/QC procedures.
• Build project teams and assign resources to managers.
• Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets with project managers.
• Monitor workload and utilization to balance workload.
• Maintain regular communication with leaders to improve delivery.
• Participate in the RFP/RFQ process and client engagements.
• Serve as Lead Engineer/Technical Project Lead as needed.
