Job summary

Stantec is seeking a seasoned civil engineer with a strong background in transportation design to review submittals for compliance with Tollway, IDOT, and AASHTO standards and to lead constructability and value-engineering efforts.

In this role you will support multiple project managers, manage budgets and schedules, engage clients, and help win new work while mentoring junior staff and guiding project teams.

Qualifications

• PE licensed in Illinois; bachelor’s in civil engineering preferred.
• 10 years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review design submittals for conformance with Tollway design standards and IDOT/AASHTO criteria.
• Lead constructability and value-engineering coordination with project teams.
• Support project win through interviews and proposals.
• Direct work to meet budget, schedule, and design intent.
• Mentor junior team members and document PM Framework tasks.
• Lead project meetings with owner and consultants.
