Job summary

The Illinois Tollway is seeking a licensed attorney to join the Office of General Counsel as Assistant Attorney General. The role focuses on providing accurate and timely legal advice to support decision making and strategic planning for Tollway projects.

Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting contracts with vendors and engineers, handling property acquisitions, and performing other assignments to protect the Authority’s interests while upholding ethical standards and public

Qualifications

• College graduate (Bachelor's degree or higher).
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Gives accurate and timely legal advice to allow the Authority to make sound decisions and plans.
• Negotiates and drafts contracts and agreements with vendors, contractors, engineers, municipalities and others in connection with Authority business and operations.
• Completes other assignments to promote the best interests of the Authority within the prescribed legal guidelines.
• Carries out the timely acquisition of property for various Authority Tollway projects.
