Job summary

The Illinois Tollway is seeking a licensed attorney to join the Office of General Counsel as Assistant Attorney General. The role focuses on providing accurate and timely legal advice to support decision making and strategic planning for Tollway projects.

Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting contracts with vendors and engineers, handling property acquisitions, and performing other assignments to protect the Authority’s interests while upholding ethical standards and public

Qualifications

• College graduate (Bachelor's degree or higher).
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

In support of this vision, the Assistant Attorney General reports directly to the General Counsel. The Legal Department's mission is to provide a full range of legal services to the Authority. To achieve this end, the incumbent will interact with various departments within the Authority, outside legal counsel, judicial, state, county, local officials, and the general public.
