Job summary

CDR Maguire Inc. is seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor for projects around the Greater Pittsburgh area.

The TCIS will coordinate with contractors, engineers, and job superintendents to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety plans, while maintaining daily progress reports and cost records. The role may supervise inspectors and requires relevant certifications, with travel as needed across the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• BS Civil Engineering degree is required.
• NICET Level 2+ in Transportation/Highway Construction.
• NECEPT Bituminous field certification.
• ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification.
• PennDOT/PTC CDS certification.
• ECMS experience.
• OSHA 10-Hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with contract documents by the contractor.
• Ensure compliance with the contractor’s health and safety plan.
• Check that delivered materials conform to the contract documents.
• Check contractor’s layout and verify accuracy.
• Prepare daily reports of work performed and maintain progress records.
• Supervise a staff of inspectors as needed.
• Travel as required and as directed by supervisor.
