Job summary

A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors to support VDOT projects in the Fredericksburg District and nearby regions.

The role demands a valid driver's license, willingness for overtime, nights and weekends, and the ability to work independently and with teams. Responsibilities include inspection to ensure work aligns with plans and specs; measuring quantities and dimensions; and acting as the liaison between VDOT and the prime contractor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within the State of Virginia.
• VDOT Level II, III or IV certification strongly preferred; candidates without the certification, but who meet the certification requirements, may be considered.
• Out of state candidates with similar certifications will be considered.

A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in the Transportation sector to support projects throughout the VDOT Fredericksburg District and surrounding areas of Northern Neck and Saluda Residencies.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, availability for overtime, nights, and weekends, independence and teamwork, and a background check. Experience with VDOT inspection and related certifications is required. Hourly rate will be based on qualifying experience and certifications.
