Job summary

AMT Engineering is looking for a Senior Construction Inspector to join our team working in the Fredericksburg District of Virginia. The position will involve verifying work against plans and ensuring compliance with contractual specifications, as well as serving as a liaison between VDOT and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in transportation construction, preferably with relevant VDOT certifications. Overtime and weekend work is required, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within Virginia.
• VDOT Level II, III, or IV certification strongly preferred.
• Must be available for overtime, nights, and weekends.

(AMT, Inc.) is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in the Transportation sector to support projects throughout the VDOT Fredericksburg District and surrounding areas. The role requires overtime, night or weekend work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Candidates will be subject to background checks. Hourly rate will be based on qualifying experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Out-of-state candidates with similar certifications will be considered.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Available for overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
