Huitt-Zollars, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer - Transportation for our El Paso office. The candidate will have 4–10 years’ experience and hold a Texas PE license. The role focuses on traffic engineering, roadway design, drainage studies, and construction documentation for transportation and public works projects in El Paso.

The position is full-time, onsite in El Paso, reporting to Transportation Supervisor. TxDOT project experience is a plus, with opportunities to support multiple offices.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Texas PE license required.
• 4–10 years of transportation engineering design experience.
• Experience with traffic engineering, roadway design, drainage, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadway feasibility and planning studies, geometric design, drainage studies and designs, and construction plans.
• Lead complex transportation projects including roadway geometry, drainage, signage and pavement markings, and traffic signals.
• Coordinate with EITs, designers, and drafters; review shop drawings and perform field observations.
• Support proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage project execution and tracking.
• Prepare feasibility studies, implementation plans, engineering summaries, and drainage analyses.
