Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Wall Township, NJ, seeks a Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager to lead major bridge and highway projects. You will oversee design through construction, manage client relationships with NJDOT, counties, and municipalities, and mentor engineers within a growing highway and bridge practice.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, business development, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; NJ license preferred or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in transportation, bridge, structural, or related infrastructure engineering.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex transportation and/or bridge projects from design through construction.
• Experience with bridge rehabilitation, bridge replacement, and roadway improvements; strong leadership and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transportation and infrastructure projects from planning and concept development through final design, permitting, bidding, and construction support.
• Manage projects involving bridge rehabilitation and replacement, roadway and highway improvements, and related municipal projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with NJDOT, counties, municipalities, and other agencies.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; provide technical guidance and oversight.
• Participate in proposal development, scope and fee discussions, client presentations, and business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards (AASHTO, NJDOT, MUTCD) and project requirements.
