Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Transportation Bridge Engineer III for our Orlando, St. Augustine, or Green Cove Springs, FL office. You will contribute to design efforts on municipal and state bridge projects across multiple offices, using MicroStation and software for structural analysis. Travel within our service area is required.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, have 5+ years of bridge project experience, and excel in team settings with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with coursework focused on structural engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• At least 5 years of relevant municipal or highway bridge project experience.
• Willingness to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman’s service area.
• Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design support for our transportation bridge department.
• Design Bridge, Retaining Wall, Sea Wall, Roadway, Underground Utility, and Infrastructure improvements.
• Assist senior staff with proposal/project approach writing.
• Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients.
• Complete engineering plans and specifications using State DOT Standards.
• Process Federal Aid projects for a variety of clients.
• Assist project engineers and managers by making significant decisions on a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery.
